Близость к морю всегда определяла путь развития Великобритании, и лучше всего об этом расскажет Королевский музей Гринвич. Во время нашей прогулки вы узнаете истории британских мореплавателей и пиратов, увидите чайный клипер Cutty Sark, посетите Королевскую обсерваторию с Гринвичским меридианом и Национальный морской музей. А затем заглянете в старинный пиратский паб «The Grape» среди доков Ист-Энда!

Морская история Британии
Каждый уголок Гринвича неразрывно связан с историей Королевского морского флота, которая откроется вам во время прогулки. Вы рассмотрите морскую церковь св. Петра и Павла, увидите чайный клипер Cutty Sark. Узнаете о кораблекрушениях и торжестве гениального часовщика Джорджа Харрисона, изобретателя морского хронометра. Посетите Королевскую Обсерваторию и постоите на нулевом меридиане. Рассмотрите морские картины Тёрнера, Гейнсборо, Рейнолдса и Стаббса в доме с изящной тюльпановой лестницей. А в Национальном морском музее я расскажу вам о морских битвах, о позорной истории работорговли, о традициях речников и, конечно, о безупречном герое — Адмирале Горации Нельсоне.
«Пиратская» таверна Гэндальфа
Затем на катере вы переправитесь на Собачий Остров, в новый центр делового Лондона, построенный на месте доков. Наш маршрут пройдет вдоль берега к 500-летнему пабу «The Grape», где в разные времена гуляли пираты, известные актеры и Чарльз Диккенс, который подробно описал таверну в одной из своих книг. Сейчас хозяин этого атмосферного места — актер Йен МакКеллен, который хранит здесь свой посох Гэндальфа из фильма «Властелин Колец». В пабе вы услышите истории о британских пиратах и узнаете о мрачной славе Execution Dock, который расположен неподалеку.
Организационные детали
- До Гринвича мы доберемся на Thames Clipper из Вестминстера, 35 минут в пути. По дороге вас ждет небольшая обзорная экскурсия.
- Дополнительные расходы: билет на Thames Clipper (туда и обратно) — £ 8.10, общий билет в Королевскую обсерваторию и Cutty Sark — £ 16.80, билет на катер до Canary Wharf — £ 1.50
- К сожалению, по законам пиратского братства дети до 18 лет не могут остаться в пабе, но могут сфотографироваться с посохом Гэндальфа. Юнги от 16 лет могут находиться в пабе в компании взрослых.

Я благодарю Ирину за такую интересную экскурсию!Я не первый раз в Лондоне и не один раз посещала разные Экскурсии, но эта экскурсия добавила мне новые ощущения от Лондона и открыла многие ,неизвестные и интересные факты об истории и о жизни людей в этом городе !Ирина очень обаятельный ,интеллигентный экскурсовод с глубокими знаниями подаваемого материала.Я рекомендую всем эту экскурсию и Ирину, как замечательного экскурсовода!

Очень интересная экскурсия. Ирина очень эрудированный отличный гид и очень приятный человек. Видовая интересная экскурсия. С большим удовольствием полюбовались на достопримечательности Лондона с Темзы и потом с Гринвичского холма.
