Описание

В дельте Нила вас ждёт город-порт, где арабский колорит встречается с атмосферой Европы. Мы проследим историю Александрии от её основания великим Македонским до времён легендарной Клеопатры. Вы увидите смешение стилей в подземных гробницах, подниметесь на стены крепости, стоящей на месте одного из Семи чудес света, и узнаете, как живёт этот величественный город сегодня.

Катакомбы Ком-эль-Шукафа и Колонна Помпея
Мы спустимся в подземное сокровище 1 века н.э., где египетские традиции переплелись с греко-римскими. Вы узнаете, почему Анубис здесь изображён в доспехах римского воина. Затем увидите гранитный обелиск высотой 30 м и поймёте, как он появился на руинах древнего храма.

Мечеть Абу аль-Аббаса аль-Мурси и форт Кайт-Бей
Вы рассмотрите изысканную резьбу главной мечети города и узнаете историю мусульманского проповедника, в честь которого она названа. Финальной точкой станет крепость Кайт-Бей, возведённая на руинах легендарного Александрийского маяка. Мы поднимемся на стены форта, чтобы насладиться панорамным видом на море.
