Описание

Иваново — город молодой, промышленный, но и о нём есть, что рассказать. Почему Иваново называли «землей беспечальных людей»? Остается ли он самым советским городом и текстильным цехом страны? Как связан с графами Шереметевыми, Вячеславом Зайцевым и блатным шансоном? Вы осмотрите ключевые места центра Иванова и узнаете много любопытного о городе невест.

Иваново тогда и сейчас
Наша прогулка начнётся на площади Революции — так и город берет своё начало на этом месте. На старых фотографиях вы увидите, что здесь было раньше — а я расскажу, что должно было быть. Как развивался и менялся город, почему его называют заповедником конструктивизма и какие события происходили здесь в 1905 и 1915 годах.

Хроники фабричного города
Мы осмотрим Щудровскую палатку — единственную дошедшую до нас постройку 17-го века. А ещё вы услышите забавную историю о памятнике блатному барду Аркадию Северному. Прогуляемся по центральным улицам: я объясню, как в нашем заштатном городе появилось палаццо в стиле Возрождения и особняки фабрикантов в стиле модерн. Поговорим и о том, какими они были — фабриканты, создававшие когда-то наш город, — и откроем своеобразную красоту фабричных корпусов.

Окинуть Иваново одним взглядом
На небольшом возвышении у Дворца искусств вы полюбуетесь видом на город. Перейдём речку Уводь — я расскажу вам об известной частушке на её счет и о том, почему её периодически тушили. Вы увидите здания Краеведческого музея и Музея ситца, услышите о фабриканте Бурылине — коллекционере и меценате.
