Кострома известна как «ювелирная столица России». Вы погуляете по уютному особняку XVIII века и рассмотрите старинные и современные изделия местных мастеров. А мы расскажем, когда и с какими целями костромичи начали делать ювелирные украшения, как менялась их техника на протяжении столетий и кто такие «сканщики».

Путешествие во времени
Вы услышите, почему костромские крестьяне стали заниматься ювелирным делом, и оцените антураж купеческой лавки с примерным ассортиментом продукции прошлых веков. А также побываете в мастерской кустаря-ювелира ХIХ столетия и узнаете, каким образом раньше делали ювелирные украшения. Рассмотрите подлинный ручной инструмент того времени и поразитесь смекалке русского крестьянина, который смог приспособить для облегчения своего нелегкого труда даже самые обычные бытовые вещи.

Шедевры сканного стиля
Вершиной костромского ювелирного дела стали работы, выполненные в знаменитой технике «скань». Вы раскроете, в чем ее особенности, и рассмотрите изящные сканные изделия из золота, серебра и мельхиора. Кроме того, узнаете о взлетах и падениях ювелирных традиций города в XX веке, и услышите о современных художниках-ювелирах.

Небольшой музей, как и все в Костроме. Экскурсия длится час, но за этот час благодаря профессиональному экскурсоводу мы перемещаемся на несколько столетий назад и постепенно возвращаемся в наши дни. Есть и старинные экспонаты, есть и прекрасные примеры ювелирного искусства наших дней.

Все было неплохо. Экскурсовод очень хорошо знает тему, знает и умеет держать внимание. Но показалось, что цена не совсем соответствует качеству, чуть меньше одного часа экскурсии могла бы стоить немного дешевле.

Очень интересная знающая экскурсовод Елена Николаевна, обоятельнейшая женьщина, хранительница традиций и старославянского языка, поговорок, вобщем, кладезь знаний. Элегантная красавица, которая сама собирала костюмы для музею, вышивала и знает про ремесла всё расскажет вам о старинном промысле и культурной жизни Костромы прошлых веков. Потрясающая.
