Описание
В старинной обители, основанной учеником Сергия Радонежского, вы услышите о ее святых покровителях, узнаете, что интересного и важного происходило в стенах влиятельного монастыря, какие реликвии брали в походы цари и широко почитали в православном мире. А также разберетесь в основных чертах вологодских построек и этапах строительства на Русском Севере с 16 по 18 век.

История монастыря
Вы узнаете, как, согласно преданиям, сподвижник Сергия Радонежского, основал в конце 14 века неподалеку от Вологды монастырь. Какую роль в этом сыграл Дмитрий Донской, как духовная обитель стала значимым стратегическим объектом и какой след оставили в ее истории другие правители. Какие святыни широко почитали в Средние века и даже брали в царские походы. Какие трудности принесло Смутное время, чем запомнилась война 1812 года и как местные храмы пережили 20 век. Также поговорим о возрождении монастырской жизни и ее современных событиях. А отдельный рассказ будет посвящён житиям святых покровителей комплекса — преподобных Димитрия и Игнатия Прилуцких.
Архитектурное наследие
Особая ценность монастыря заключается и в том, что здесь сконцентрированы основные черты вологодских построек за три столетия, а религиозные архитектурные памятники отражают все этапы строительства на Русском Севере — с 16 по 18 век. Вы познакомитесь с каменной и деревянной архитектурой ансамбля, увидите древнейший в России деревянный шатровый храм первой половины 16 века. И кроме того, подниметесь на крепостную стену 17 века, чтобы окинуть взглядом исторические панорамы.
«Внешний вид Спасо-Прилуцкого монастыря, с величественными в нем зданиями храмов, настоятельскими и братскими келиями, окруженного высокими стенами и башнями и расположенного среди значительного села Прилуцкого, представляет, можно сказать, Троице-Сергиеву Лавру и Сергиев Посад в миниатюре». Экскурсия с Алексеем по Спасо-Прилуцкому монастырю очень понравилась. Алексей - замечательный рассказчик! Чувствуется, что человек обладает глубокими знаниями, увлечен своим делом. В монастыре было особенно красиво, так как были в период золотой осени. Рекомендуем!
