Кузнецкий Мост, Пушечная, Неглинная — более 200 лет этот квартал славится лучшими пассажами, салонами, гостиницами. Он также стал финансовым центром столицы: здесь соседствуют крупнейшие российские и зарубежные банки. Вы рассмотрите фасады помпезных зданий, а я расскажу, как складывался облик улиц, кому принадлежали здешние заведения и какие любопытные детали таит их история.

Мы неспешно пройдем по самой модной улице Москвы — Кузнецкому Мосту, — проникаясь атмосферой «французского шика». Исследуя этот район, вы откроете для себя любопытные факты: где пролегает самая молодая улица старой Москвы, какая улица в этой местности является компасом, кому принадлежала роща в центре столицы и куда же делся мост и река Неглинная.

И домов
Мы увидим крупнейшие дома и пассажи и поговорим об их владельцах. Я расскажу о знаменитой предпринимательнице и меценате Вере Фирсановой, раскрою, как сложилась судьба одного из самых богатых банкиров того времени. Вы услышите о крупнейшей техногенной катастрофе Москвы 19 века, узнаете, в каком пассаже обустроили первую телефонную станцию. Кроме того, вас ждет целая вереница зданий, где располагались банки: от Центробанка до копии Банка Святого Духа в Риме. А точку в нашем рассказе поставит величественное здание на Театральной площади — первый в России универсальный магазин.
