Описание

Выборг поразит вас западноевропейским обликом, старинными укреплениями, башнями и средневековым замком. Вы увидите его главные и секретные места, услышите городские легенды, раскроете тайны улиц, площадей и водных просторов. Заглянете в усадьбу бюргера и попробуете «бредовый» выборгский крендель с глёгом или кофе.

Многоликий Выборг
Вы увидите все городские доминанты: Выборгский замок, Рогатую крепость и древние башни, дома разных стилей и эпох, художественную галерею и ремесленные мастерские. Рассмотрите здание Старой Ратуши и узнаете, как была собрана богатейшая коллекция местного музея. Раскроете, кто разрушил кафедральный собор, почему не бьют часы на Часовой башне, что было на месте знаменитого ресторана «Эспиля» и почему Екатерина II останавливалась именно в доме купца Векрута.

Прошлое и настоящее
За свою многовековую историю Выборг неоднократно переходил «из рук в руки». Вы мысленно перенесетесь в средневековый шведский город, в многонациональную Российскую империю и в Великое княжество Финляндское. А также вспомните Северную войну и узнаете, как Выборг пришел к своему нынешнему состоянию. Рассмотрите построенные финскими архитекторами дома северного модерна и здание в стиле рококо, где жил самый богатый и щедрый русский предприниматель — Федор Сергеев.
