Каждый древний город окутан байками и легендами — но что, если реальность намного мрачнее выдумок? Я проведу вас по центру Нижнего Новгорода, открывая самые зловещие страницы городской истории. Эпидемии холеры и чумы, губернатор-маньяк, жертвоприношения, казни, сделки с дьяволом — вы узнаете о самых страшных секретах Нижнего, пугающих, но влекущих.

Истории, которые страшнее любых легенд
Нам предстоит раскрыть изнанку Нижнего Новгорода и поговорить о том, что вряд ли можно услышать на обычных экскурсиях. Кровавые преступления, зловещие слухи и интриги, мистика и не менее жуткая реальность — всё это, хотим мы этого или нет, неотделимо от истории древнего города. Вы услышите:

  • о нижегородском Джеке Потрошителе, который мог похвастаться коллекцией человеческих носов;
  • о самом громком уголовном деле конца 19 века, где подсудимые обвинялись в человеческих жертвоприношениях;
  • о двух нижегородских губернаторах, один из которых сражался с холерой, а второй, поговаривали, был серийным маньяком;
  • о способах казни и судьбах нижегородских палачей;
  • о том, зачем в 18 веке отрезанные части тела «декорировали» бусинами и кружевами.

А еще разберемся, откуда брались слухи, что людей в городе хоронят живьем, почему нижегородцы проиграли «черной смерти» и правда ли, что главный советский писатель продал душу дьяволу.

Тайники секретов Нижнего Новгорода
На исторический центр и древние памятники Нижнего мы посмотрим под новым углом: как на места, где совершались страшные и часто необъяснимые события, где лютовали эпидемии, где плелись интриги, где веками людей казнили самыми разными способами.

Темные истории города откроются вам около стен и башни Кремля, церквей Михаила Архангела и Иоанна Предтечи, Дворца губернатора и на улице Рождественской. Вы услышите о возникновении анатомических театров у медицинского института, о секретном бункере Сталина на набережной. Увидите часовню-костницу с черепами воинов ополчения 1612 года и могилу Минина, у которой вспомним об ужасах Смуты. А закончим путешествие у нижегородского «дементора».
