Описание

Приглашаю исследовать самобытный район Торговая сторона на правом берегу реки Волхов. Вы увидите древние храмы, построенные купцами вольного Новгорода, посетите Вечевую площадь и Ярославово дворище. Вас ждёт не перечисление дат и скучная ходьба от одного памятника к другому. А знакомство с местными легендами, малоизвестными сюжетами, сказаниями и тайнами!

Что вас ожидает

Торг Новгородский
Вы увидите первый на Руси храм Николая Чудотворца и церковь, построенную на деньги купцов заморских. Пройдёте по Вечевой площади и двору князя Ярослава Мудрого. Я раскрою, где находится Опока и что подавали в доспешнях, где немые торговали да где жили. Почему любимым суп пересаливают и почему сельдь балтийскую стали килькой называть. А еще вы услышите про Иваньский локоть и пядь, про купцов «пошлых» и торги пятничные. Про то, как Новгород с Ганзой торговал и как царь Иван Торг немецкий разогнал.

Прогулка по набережной и занимательные истории
Гуляя вдоль реки Волхов, вы узнаете, как новгородцы мосты строили да бои кулачные на них устраивали. Как святой Варлаам разбойника спас, а мимо невинного мимо прошел. Как в лето жаркое в Волхове «лютый зверь коркодил» завелся и как река при Иване Грозном кровавой стала. А еще я расскажу, кто подарил Новгороду первый план застройки, где Екатерина Великая отдыхать любила и какой храм расписал Феофан Грек. Кто построил церковь в честь Папы Римского и где хранилась икона Богородицы.

Организационные детали

По желанию, я могу включить в программу посещение церквей:

  • Церковь Спаса Преображения на Ильине (посещение возможно при благоприятных погодных условиях). Вход платный: 150 руб./взрослые, 100 руб./учащиеся, дети до 14 лет — бесплатно.
  • Церковь апостола Филиппа (посещение может быть ограничено во время Богослужения)

Очень рекомендуем Юрия! Кроме того, что он замечательный, эрудированный рассказчик, также отличный, внимательный организатор. Нам было не только интересно, а очень комфортно психологически, маршрут составлен идеально. Спасибо, что не смутился нашими бегающими вокруг малолетними разбойниками, был невозмутим, но при этом замечал все и всех!

Прекрасный экскурсовод, любит свой город и очень хорошо знает его историю. Маршрут экскурсии построен нетривиально, с рассказом не только о важнейших исторических событиях, а также с использованием занимательных исторических анекдотов. Очень рекомендуем.
