Эта экскурсия — прекрасная возможность окунуться в мир галантного века, вспомнить мифологические сюжеты и историю Государства Российского, увидеть средневековый замок и барочный парк версальского типа.

Что вас ожидает

Там, где сливаются, струясь, две быстрые речки — Муса и Мемеле, и образуется большая река — Лиелупе, возвышается старинный Бауский замок. Он состоит из двух частей: новой — времен герцогов Курляндских, и старой — эпохи Ливонского ордена.

В 10 километрах от него посреди Земгальской равнины сохранился роскошный дворец зодчего Растрелли, чудом уцелевший и даже ни разу капитально не перестраивавшийся. Вы узнаете:

  • почему дворец обустраивали более 30 лет;
  • какую роль в этом сыграл герцог Бирон, фаворит императрицы Анны Иоанновны;
  • что такое Прусское рококо и Курляднские грации;
  • почему восстановленная позолота не ослепляет посетителей музея;

Изюминкой парка является богатая коллекция роз. В конце июня и июле здесь можно увидеть розы разных исторических эпох: Сад герцога, Сад Зубовых и Шуваловых, коллекции диких, рифленых и английских роз. И, конечно, Сад загадочной голубой розы.

А что же делать в парке, когда розы не цветут? Весной — наслаждаться сказочными коврами разноцветных тюльпанов и вдыхать аромат сирени. В конце лета и осенью – собирать виноград, прячась в игривых перголах, или яблоки в Саду Зубова.

Замечательная экскурсия, получили много положительных эмоций, просто "Версаль" в маленькой Латвии. Гид профессиональный, много нового узнали исторических фактов, в том числе и по истории государства Российского.

Экскурсия была хорошо организована, много было сказано о Латвии по дороге: замок, небольшие города. Пожелать даже нечего. Разве что ореставрировать ещё несколько замков. Желаю успехов. Ксения Власова.
