Описание

Торговая сторона — исторический район на правом берегу реки Волхов. Здесь сохранилось множество святынь и, конечно, память о новгородском торге. Вы перенесётесь в Средние века и узнаете о легендарных ярмарках, на которые приезжали заморские купцы. Осмотрите храмы и монастырь, основанный жителем римских земель. А также услышите о советском периоде Великого Новгорода на «той стороне».

Что вас ожидает

Торг новгородский
Вы познакомитесь с семью храмами на Торгу и первым на Руси каменным храмом Николая Чудотворца. Прогуляетесь по Вечевой площади и услышите рассказы о новгородском торге. Узнаете, чем торговали в старину, чем платили за товары, кто проводил купеческий суд и где стоял Немецкий двор.

Прогулка по главной улице Торговой стороны
Я расскажу о дореволюционном губернском городе N-ске. Вы пройдёте вдоль зданий женской и мужской гимназии. Увидите Соловьёвскую гостиницу, где много раз останавливался Пушкин, и дом новгородского губернатора 18 века. Познакомитесь с маленьким Лениным. Посетите храм в честь Климента Папы Римского. Осмотрите храм, освящённый в честь победы Дмитрия Донского в Куликовской битве. И перейдёте через несуществующий Фёдоровский ручей.

Поговорим и о новой истории города: послевоенном восстановлении и комсомольских стройках Хрущёва. Пересечём «обкомовский квартал» и увидим дом, где жил герой Советского Союза Яков Павлов.

Набережная и старый парк
На набережной Александра Невского ознакомимся с архитектурой левого и правого берегов реки Волхов. Побываем у памятника Александру Невскому и в храме Бориса и Глеба 16 века. А также погуляем по парку 30-летия Октября, где вы услышите о студенческом Новгороде.

Антониев монастырь
Завершает программу монастырь, известный с 1106 года. Основателем и первым настоятелем обители был преподобный Антоний Римлянин, который, по легенде, приплыл в Новгород на камне из римских земель. Долгие годы в Антониевом монастыре располагалась Новгородская духовная семинария.
