Описание
На экскурсии вы увидите самое крупное в мире — на момент строительства — рукотворное сооружение. Возвели его во время Великой депрессии на 2 года ранее запланированного срока. Я расскажу о причинах создания дамбы, её инженерных особенностях, значении для Лас-Вегаса, а также об интересных локациях рядом.
Что вас ожидает
- Мы посетим город Боулдер-Сити, созданный для рабочих, которые строили дамбу Гувера в 1930–1935 годах
- Спустимся на берег самого большого водохранилища в США — озера Мид. Прикоснёмся к кристально-чистой воде, покормим больших рыб. Желающие смогут их даже погладить
- Дальше отправимся к самой дамбе. По пути проедем сквозь 5 тоннелей, через которые раньше проходила железная дорога. С высоты полюбуемся красотой озера Мид
- Поднимемся на мост, соединяющий Неваду и Аризону. Здесь, с высоты 270 метров, открывается лучший вид на дамбу
- Затем мы спустимся к плотине, прогуляемся по ней. Я расскажу интересные факты о её создании и объясню, какое значение она имеет для Невады и других штатов
