«Лучше Бреста нету места» — эту строчку из песни любил повторять наш бывший мэр. И я с ним абсолютно согласна. Город привлекает и очаровывает особым колоритом улиц, своеобразным стилем, уютом и динамичностью. Со мной вы увидите Брест глазами местного жителя. Раскроете его самобытный характер. И побываете в местах, которые могли бы остаться в стороне при самостоятельной прогулке.

Такой разный Брест
Города, как и люди, имеют свой характер. Таков и Брест — один из древнейших городов Беларуси, образованный на месте слияния двух рек, на перекрёстке важных путей. Контрасты и противоречия особенно заметны в архитектуре: здесь исторические памятники времён царской России соседствуют с застройкой польского периода и зданиями в духе сталинского ампира. Вот серые советские многоэтажки — а рядом старинные деревянные дома. И таких чудес в Бресте более чем достаточно! Во время нашей прогулки я раскрою для вас богатую историю города и поясню, почему здесь сочетаются разные эпохи и как это повлияло на менталитет коренных жителей.

Маршрут прогулки

  • Улица Мицкевича с уникальными памятниками архитектуры: здание педагогического университета им.Пушкина (бывшая мужская гимназия им. цесаревича Алексея) и уютный Пушкинский скверик, Свято-Николаевская братская церковь, два особняка известного польского рода Ягминов.
  • Улица Леваневского, где сохранились живописные постройки польского периода: каменные и деревянные жилые дома усадебного типа.
  • Площадь Ленина — сердце города,обрамлённое великолепными зданиями различных эпох.
  • Улица Гоголя со знаменитыми коваными фонарями, созданными по проектам торговых и промышленных организаций города.
  • Улица Советская — главная пешеходная улица, или «Брестский Арбат». Здесь наше внимание привлечет памятник 1000-летия Бреста. Затем осмотрим бывшую главную синагогу, заглянем в аптеку Гринберга и отыщем знаменитого фонарщика. Подержавшись за пуговицу на его мундире, вы загадаете заветное желание, которое обязательно исполнится.
