Описание

Мало кто знает настоящую историю средневекового Мадрида: многое утеряно, сгорело или просто уничтожено. В результате существует основная, популярная версия происхождения того или иного памятника, или события, именно ее рассказывают как единственно верную. Но на самом деле трактовок может быть несколько и они, конечно, противоречат друг другу. Я помогу вам узнать самые интересные из них и составить о городе свое собственное впечатление.

Программа

Я покажу вам самые знаменитые места в Мадриде и расскажу необычные хитросплетения их официальной истории, а также курьезные факты из альтернативных источников. Мы прогуляемся по старой части города династии Габсбургов, а закончим маршрут осмотром достопримечательностей, которые были построены уже во времена правления Бурбонов.

Например, основная версия происхождения символа Мадрида «Медведь и земляничное дерево»: в округе было много лесов, где водились медведи и сильно любили лакомиться земляникой. Но жили ли косолапые в пригородах столицы на самом деле? Я поделюсь с вами еще двумя интересными версиями и расскажу, какая близка мне.

Не менее интересен с этой точки зрения неоднозначный в своем оформлении собор Альмудена, где помимо католической символики встречаются фрески в православном стиле и витражи совсем неожиданного дизайна, и даже Главная площадь или Пласа Майор не была исключительно местом парадов и объявления королевской воли.
