Описание
Сур — старейший портовый город Омана. Местные жители веками отправлялись в дальние плавания, достигая Китая, Занзибара и Индии. Вы узнаете, как здесь строят традиционные лодки доу, познакомитесь с ремеслом и историей. А также зайдёте в Морской музей и посетите пляж, на котором черепахи откладывают яйца.

Открытия на берегах Омана
В Морском музее погрузимся в захватывающий мир океанских приключений и исторических открытий. Вы увидите выставки, посвящённые мореплаванию, судостроению и другим аспектам прибрежной жизни.
Секреты строительства кораблей
В Суре есть несколько старинных фортов и небольшая мастерская, где строят лодки доу — деревянные суда, характерные для этого места. Уже много лет люди отправляются на них в путешествия, а секреты строительства передаются из поколения в поколение. Вы окунётесь в оригинальный образ жизни автохтонного населения и мастерство кораблестроения. Посмотрите, как изготавливают суда. Узнаете историю и смысл, вложенные в каждую лодку.
Рас-аль-Джинз — заповедник с черепахами
Далее из Сура уедем в природный уголок, известный как «черепаший рай». На безлюдные берега огромные черепахи приплывают для кладки яиц — это продолжительный и трудоёмкий процесс. Вы понаблюдаете за тем, как сложно и даже рискованно черепахи передвигаются по суше, поэтому следить за ними нужно бережно и спокойно. Работник заповедника на английском языке расскажет о своих подопечных (при необходимости мы будем переводить). Так как рептилии реагируют на освещение, самки оставляют яйца уже в темноте, если посчастливится, мы сможем это увидеть.
Примерный тайминг экскурсии:
- 13:00 трансфер из отеля
- 15:00-15:30 приезд в Сур
- 15:30-17:00 обзорная экскурсия по городу (музей с мастерской по производству лодок, форт, прогулка по набережной)
- 17:30-18:30 ужин — традиционная оманская кухня (входит в стоимость)
- 19:00-20:00 дорога до заповедника
- 20:30-22:00 наблюдение за черепахами, которые выходят из моря
- 22:00-00:30 трансфер в отель

Мы посмотрели музей кораблестроения в Суре, старом портовом городе, и съездили в заповедник на побережье, где вместе с гидом посмотрели, как зеленые черепахи откладывают яйца. Также удалось полюбоваться на звезды через профессиональный телескоп.
