Описание

Когда-то у Главпочтамта располагался квартал почтового ведомства. Мы пройдём по нему и рассмотрим здания, где трудились и жили его работники. Здесь не будет парадного блеска Северной столицы — это неисхоженный путешественниками и несколько обветшалый уголок, дышащий давно позабытой историей. Но ведь истории нужны для того, чтобы их рассказывать, не правда ли?

Что вас ожидает

От Исаакиевского собора мы отправимся вглубь почтового квартала, на улицы Почтамтская и Якубовича. Пройдёмся по набережной Мойки и осмотрим здания, где работали, жили, учились и лечились почтальоны и почтовые чиновники. Я расскажу вам, когда и как образовался этот городок.

Вы увидите:

  • Работы видных архитекторов 18–19 веков: Кваренги, Львова, Кавоса
  • Дворец первого генерал-почт-директора и крупнейшего деятеля Екатерининской эпохи Александра Безбородко
  • Особняк Сергея Ягужинского
