Описание
Кто бы мог подумать, что те технологии, на которых держалась промышленность до электричества, приведут к появлению целой (суб)культуры стимпанка. Обводный канал помнит «паровую эру» — здесь работали одни из первых заводов на паровых машинах. И мы из нашего 21 века заглянем в прошлое, ведь Обводный хранит его следы — как промышленные, так и другие архитектурные.
Что вас ожидает
Памятники дореволюционной промышленной архитектуры:
- завод «Красный треугольник» — заброшенный «корабль», севший на мель современности
- газгольдеры — мистические купола эпохи паровых машин и газового освещения
- заводы и фабрики тогдашних нуворишей — владельцев великолепных особняков и доходных домов в центральной части города: именно здесь они зарабатывали свои миллионы, используя дешёвый труд рабочих
Работы классиков епархиальной архитектуры: Василия Косякова, Германа Гримма, Николая Никонова и других. Поговорим о том, почему храм Воскресения Христова назвали храмом с «бутылочкой». Осмотрим ярославский храм-сувенир Николая Никонова.
Два крупных вокзала — Варшавский и Балтийский. Обсудим особенности архитектуры романтизма и использование витринных окон, а также то, куда пропали дебаркадеры.
Доходные дома:
- готический дом товарищества «Помещик» — один из самых современных домов дореволюционной эпохи с центральными пылевсасывающими станциями
- особняк Т. П. Дылева — лепных дел мастера, построившего на берегу промышленного Обводного изящный барочный дом
- дома Львовой с провокационными символами
Примеры советской архитектуры: от конструктивизма (электрическая подстанция завода «Красный треугольник») до сталинского ампира (Фрунзенский универмаг). Кроме того, вспомним нереализованные проекты советской архитектуры.

- этапах застройки берегов канала: как архитектура оставила следы этого постепенного развития
- развитии энергетической инфраструктуры города — от освещения газом (газгольдеры) до первой ТЭЦ и начала эпохи электричества

- планах по засыпке канала: их было много, даже в дореволюционные времена
- об Обводном канале как о городском феномене: почему по нему не ходят корабли, как он скрывается от взгляда прохожих, как его изгибы создают ощущение темпоральности для фланёра, почему в одном месте столкнулись столь разные по своим функциям архитектурные объекты, как вышло, что планы южного развития Ленинграда почти не затронули берега Обводного и какие планы на этот водоём и его набережные есть сейчас
- мифологии канала, его месте в городских нарративах, эпохе промышленной революции, которая воплотилась здесь

Однозначно прогулка по свежевыпавшему снегу вдоль Обводного - это то, что нужно гостям Петербурга в ноябре! Было очень круто: и познавательно, и весело, особенно осмотр территории завода. Пока на улице пасмурно обзор неочевидных достопримечательностей промышленного пояса вдоль так называемой Канавы несомненно доставит новых ощущений. Очень советую экскурсию с Виктором!

Виктор с такой любовью и так живописно рассказывает про места, которые сокрыты от любителей красивого и чистого - а это большое искусство. Подмечает детали, вызывающие восторг. Чудесная экскурсия, только одевайтесь по-теплее.

В целом экскурсия понравилась. Виктор интересный рассказчик, хорошо ориентируется в материале и легко преподносит информацию. Впечатления от прогулки сложилось такие, что пошли с приятелем, которому интересна данная тема и вот он в непринуждённой беседе делится своими знаниями. Из минусов хочется отметить - как будто 2.5 часа очень затянуто. Место встречи - в описании встреча указана у памятника возле метро, по факту от метро 10 минут пешком.

Экскурсия в целом оставила очень приятное впечатление. Я люблю истории заброшенных зданий и их особую атмосферу. Виктор рассказывает об архитектуре и местах с большой любовью — слушать было увлекательно и вдохновляюще. В то же время, были минусы. Маршрут оказался довольно протяжённым, и для меня это было непросто физически — три часа пути без перерыва показались долгими. Спина и ноги отваливались в конце. Возможно, участникам было бы комфортнее, если бы в середине пути была предусмотрена небольшая пауза: отдохнуть, взять с собой чай или кофе, сходить в туалет. Это помогло бы сохранить внимание и силы до конца экскурсии. Ещё момент — место встречи. В описании было указано: «памятник Циолковского» у метро «Витебский вокзал», и мы отправились именно к метро. Но памятник оказался в стороне, пришлось добираться бегом, и мы немного опоздали. Думаю, если в анонсе сразу указать точный адрес памятника, а в скобках — ближайшее метро, это убережёт участников от путаницы и спешки. Из воспоминаний остались только сам Обводной канал, завод «Треугольник» и как ни странно магазин с галошами! Очень атмосферный! Вокзалы и дальнейшая архитектура запомнились меньше, как будто это уже другая история. Для меня экскурсия разделилась на два разных маршрута: завод «Треугольник» и собственно Обводной канал. Спасибо за экскурсию — это был опыт с открытием новых уголков города, в которые я бы в обычной жизни не заглянула.
