Описание

В Кито впервые была вычислена линия экватора. Мы непременно её посетим: побываем в двух полушариях одновременно и увидим любопытные эксперименты в середине мира. А перед этим прогуляемся по старому Кито: посмотрим на его главную площадь, колониальную архитектуру, храмы францисканцев и иезуитов. А за историческим интерактивом отправимся в музей Интиньян.

Что вас ожидает

Базилика Дель-Вото-Насьональ — яркий пример неоготического стиля архитектуры.

Площадь Независимости — главная площадь города, комплекс которой включает кафедральный собор, президентский дворец, дворец епископа и здание мэрии.

Церковь Общества Иисуса — иезуитский храм, фасад которого покрыт замысловатой резьбой. Лучший образец колониального искусства в городе.

Церковь Святого Франциска. Орден францисканцев был первым из орденов, обосновавшихся в Кито. Его адепты построили обитель, которая стала центром образования и искусств, открыла собственные школы живописи и скульптуры.

Смотровая площадка Эль Панесильо — с неё открывается прекрасный вид на город, а также статую Крылатой Девы Марии, покровительницы Кито.

Музей Интиньян, расположенный прямо на экваторе. Коллекция музея посвящена индейской истории и культуре. Помимо артефактов вы увидите интерактивные экспозиции, которые рассказывают об интересных изобретениях: например, способе инков определять середину земли.

Митад-дель-Мундо — самый маленький культурный, научный и коммерческий городок Эквадора. Здесь стоит монумент Середины Мира и проходит ярко-жёлтая линия экватора, которая разделяет Северное и Южное полушарие.
