Это путешествие сквозь время — от величия империи к стойкости человеческого духа. Мы пройдём путь от театра цезарей до острова-спасителя. А главным героем прогулки станет еврейская община, чья многовековая история, трагедия и возрождение навсегда оставили след в Вечном городе. Вас ждёт диалог с Римом — на языке камней, реки и человеческих судеб.

Что вас ожидает

Античный Рим
Вы увидите монументальный театр Марцелла — амфитеатр, вдохновивший создателей Колизея, где древние римляне наслаждались спектаклями. Рядом на площади соседствовали храмы Аполлона Созиана — центр культурной жизни, куда полководцы приносили дары после триумфов — и Беллоны, где решались вопросы войны и мира. От могучих руин мы пройдём к призрачному портику Октавии.

Сердце еврейского Рима
Погружение в историю самого старого гетто Европы — от его мрачных стен до освобождения. Мы встретим величественную синагогу и поговорим о жизни, традициях и невероятной стойкости обитателей квартала.

Следы истории
Церкви Сант-Анджело-ин-Пескерия и Сан-Грегорио будто вплетены в древнюю ткань этих улиц. А шедевр Возрождения — изящный фонтан Черепах — застыл в грациозном движении. Ещё заглянем в Санта-Мария-ин-Кампителли — жемчужину римского барокко. Церковь возвели в 17 веке как ковчег для чудотворной иконы Девы Марии, защитившей города от чумы.

От синагоги до траттории
Обратимся к истории, которую можно попробовать! Поговорим о той жизни, что бурлит здесь сегодня. Вы убедитесь, что вековые традиции отражаются в современности — в работе кошерных ресторанчиков, аромате свежей выпечки из пекарен и особой атмосфере тратторий, где готовят блюда уникальной иудео-римской кухни.

Остров Тиберина
Свидетель эпох и хранитель тайн — остров будто каменный корабль покоится на водах Тибра. Я расскажу о смертельном «Синдроме K», который придумали врачи больницы Fatebenefratelli и антифашисты, чтобы обмануть нацистов. А больница Ospedale Israelitico стала для евреев островком спасения, милосердия и благотворительности.
