Его история настолько сложна и запутана, что на первый взгляд кажется, будто в этом городе перемешалось все: виллы римских патрициев и массивные постройки Муссолини, христианские церкви с арабскими куполами, богатые дворцы местной знати и узенькие улочки с сохнущим бельем, где время остановилось в неопределенный момент истории. За один день вы проникните в самые разные уголки города и получите объемное представление о сердце Сицилии.

Палермо — город «наизнанку», и он тщательно скрывает свои сокровища за обшарпанными стенами и неприметными дверными порталами. Во время нашей прогулки по городу я расскажу вам увлекательные истории о самых знаменитых его достопримечательностях — Кафедральном Соборе, Королевском дворце и Палатинской капелле, площади Четырех углов и Фонтане Стыда, а также покажу спрятанные от посторонних глаз совсем нескромные оратории и церкви, пышные дворцы аристократов и аскетичные монастыри, в которых монашки колдовали над рецептами сладостей, прославивших Сицилию на весь мир.

Колорит местных рынков
Вы обязательно побываете на одном из самобытных городских рынков, где продавцы громко кричат «аббаниате», зазывая покупателей к своим прилавкам, на которых живописно разложены овощи, фрукты, огромные рыбы-меч и всякие морские гады. Для жителей Палермо поход на рынок – это не просто бытовая рутина, а повод встретиться со знакомыми, обсудить последние новости и съесть что-нибудь вкусненькое. Булочки с селезенкой, чечевичные лепешки, картофельные крокеты и рисовые аранчини – это лишь неполный список из меню уличной еды, которой славится Палермо. Подземное кладбище – важная часть истории города (опция)
Знакомство с Палермо было бы неполным без посещения знаменитых Катакомб Капуцинов – уникального подземного кладбища, где помимо церковных служащих нашли свой последний приют самые выдающиеся жители города: аристократы, врачи, архитекторы, а также их жены и маленькие дети. Зрелище, прямо скажу, не для слабонервных, но, заглянуть туда стоит – я расскажу вам про странные традиции, связанные с этим местом, легенды и реальные истории жизни этих людей…ведь многие из них сделали Палермо таким, каким мы видим его сегодня. Огромное спасибо Ксении за экскурсию. Кроме прекрасно изложенного материала съездила с нами в крипту, помогла разобраться с парковкой, провела мини гастро тур по рынку, посоветовала где остановиться на обед.
