Вы узнаете о временах, когда средневековый Санта Кроче был болотистой окраиной города, застроенной приютами для нищих и сирот, больницами для прокаженных, хижинами кожевников и мастерскими дубильщиков. Я расскажу вам, как жил и развивался Санта Кроче и почему именно это место францисканцы выбрали для строительства своего величественного храма.

Улицы квартала в деталях
Наша прогулка начнётся с площади Санта Кроче, где мы рассмотрим крупнейшую в мире францисканскую базилику, а затем отойдём в сторону от избитых туристических троп! Петляя улочками Санта Кроче, вы разглядите и расшифруете неприметные таблички и полустёртые таинственные эмблемы, найдете заметки исторических наводнений, узнаете мрачную историю улицы «Недовольных», где жил городской палач, рассмотрите любопытные маленькие окошки на фасадах домов и один из первых дорожных городских знаков. По дороге мы сможем заглянуть на второй по значимости флорентийский рынок, посещаемый в большей степени коренными флорентийцами, а также отведать один из самых сочных и аутентичных сандвичей традиционной «уличной еды»! По возможности, мы посетим пару старинных ремесленных мастерских и единственное во Флоренции место, где можно осмотреть фундамент древнеримского амфитеатра. Подмечая интересные городские детали и узнавая связанные с ними истории, вы откроете Флоренцию с новой стороны!

Искусство выделки кожи
А если захотите, мы посетим историческую мастерскую и школу по выделке кожи (Scuola del cuoio), открытую в Санта Кроче на месте бывшей ночлежки, чтобы сироты осваивали здесь профессии, которые помогут им прокормиться. Вы осмотрите обширную лабораторию, насквозь пропитанную историей и искусством, увидите, как производятся сумки, аксессуары, шкатулки и одежда из качественной итальянской кожи. А еще здесь находится школа для желающих научиться кожевенному мастерству.

Экскурсовод Дарья-исключительно высокий профессионал, прекрасно разбирающийся в теме! Кроме того, она очень приятный и дружелюбный человек, поэтому за время экскурсии вы подружитесь с ней, не захотите расставаться или через день захотите опять встретиться! Не было ни одного вопроса, на который она не смогла бы ответить!! Я рекомендую эту экскурсию всем увлечённым и любознательным людям. Вы проведёте лучшие три часа во Флоренции! А тем, кому не очень интересно долго ходить по улицам без бутиков, лучше и не начинать. Хватит обзорной экскурсии. Спасибо Tripster и чудесная Даша!!

Замечательная экскурсия для тех, кто уже знаком с Флоренцией и ее основными достопримечательностями и хочет познакомиться с историей "простых" районов города. А история очень занимательна! Удаленность от главных туристических троп тоже большой плюс. Ну и Даша просто чудесный и очень увлеченный своим делом рассказчик. Спасибо ей за новые впечталения.

Даша провела с нами два маршрута и, хотя, мы были не в первый раз во Флоренции, ей удалось показать нам то, что мы раньше не видели, рассказать массу новых, интересных вещей из истории города и его современной жизни, снабдить нас морем полезной информации и очаровать даже самых придирчивых из нашей небольшой, но весьма требовательной компании.
