Описание

Чтобы понять, какое влияние оказала греческая культура на развитие Кипра, непременно нужно посетить Пафос — древнюю столицу острова. Вы прикоснетесь к величайшим памятникам, которые оставили на острове древние греки: окажетесь в месте рождения богини Афродиты, заберетесь на стену древнего форта, рассмотрите удивительные мозаики дома Диониса и монументальные Царские Гробницы.

Легенды о богине Афродите
Много легенд связано с бухтой Афродиты, местом рождения богини любви. Говорят, если проплыть вокруг камня Афродиты против часовой стрелки, то время повернется вспять, и вы навсегда останетесь молодыми, здоровыми и красивыми. Во время путешествия вы искупаетесь в тихой и красивой бухте, а также узнаете, почему именно это место древние греки считали местом рождения богини Афродиты и какие поверья с ним связаны.

Прогулка по древнему городу
Вы посетите город-музей под открытым небом, прогуляетесь по его улицам. насквозь пропитанным историей и романтикой. Рассмотрите стены, которые помнят воинов Александра Македонского, пройдете от Пафосского замка по живописной набережной с пальмами, магазинчиками и сувенирными лавками. А после насладитесь пейзажами бухты со стены старого форта.

Мозаики в доме Диониса
В Пафосе вы рассмотрите самые красивые и хорошо сохранившиеся старинные мозаики Кипра, самые известные из которых находятся в доме Диониса. Некоторые ошибочно полагают, что дом когда-то принадлежал самому богу Дионису или был его святилищем. На самом же деле название дома связанно с хранящимися здесь мозаиками: на изображениях вы рассмотрите античные сюжеты, которые посвящены именно Дионису – богу вина и веселья, богу, который подарил людям виноградную лозу и научил их изготавливать вино.

Посетить Царские гробницы
Вы узнаете историю грандиозных Царских гробниц, которые считаются одной из главных археологических достопримечательностей Пафоса. Это монументальный погребальный комплекс с подземными сооружениями, которые вырублены в твёрдой скальной породе в 4 веке до нашей эры. Вы рассмотрите величественные залы гробниц, узнаете, что о культуре Кипра может рассказать это место и почему, несмотря на название, хоронили здесь вовсе не царей.

А завершением нашей поездки станет обед в одном из ресторанов на набережной древнего города, где вас ждут не только блюда местной кухни, но и южное солнце, морской воздух и прекрасный вид с балкона.

Прекрасная экскурсия, которая подходит для всех, кто хочет познакомиться с Пафосом. Помимо красоты самого города и окрестностей, нам было приятно, что Елена очень интересно рассказывает и об обычной жизни киприотов, и мы получили много интересной информации, которую не прочитали бы в интернете. Экскурсия была интересная и содержательная, при этом не перегруженная лишней информацией. Прекрасно провели время, узнали много интересных фактов о Кипре вообще и о Пафосе в частности. Большое спасибо Елене за знакомство с историей и культурой Кипра.

Нам очень повезло с экскурсоводом Еленой, я была с восьмилетним сыном и Елена полностью подстроила экскурсию по Пафосу именно под ребенка. Так как на Кипре жарко, мы спасались от жары в прекрасной машине Елены, в машине очень хороший кондиционер. Сам Пафос это просто какое то чудо, очень хочется вернуться сюда еще.
