Если творчество Моне, Ренуара, Малевича или Пикассо вам нравится, но вы совершенно не понимаете почему, то прогулка по галерее Альбертина — для вас. Мы поговорим о том, к чему стремились модернисты, разберёмся в сложных концепциях и терминах и сформулируем, что именно произошло в XX веке такого, что изменило отношение к искусству навсегда. Вы поймёте, почему многим так не нравится contemporary art, что общего между работами авангардистов и гравюрами Дюрера, и проследите за сменой собственного восприятия искусства.

Что вас ожидает

Тонкости -измов
Вы пройдёте по залам одного из главных музеев Австрии, чтобы посмотреть на известные полотна конца XIX — начала XX веков и разобраться в направлениях, концепциях, терминах и техниках искусства модернизма. Я объясню вам, почему для творцов модернизма и авангарда так важна была практика самокомментирования, и мы проведём небольшой эксперимент: сравним ваше восприятие картин по первому впечатлению, после прочтения комментария автора и, наконец, комментария критика. Вы сами почувствуете, насколько важнее может быть вписанность работы в контекст, чем её художественная ценность.

До и после модернизма
Творчество Ренуара, Моне, Пикассо, Бэкона, Кандинского или Малевича, полотна которых вы увидите в Альбертине, не родилось на пустом месте. Оно впитало в себя художественное наследие прошлого, поэтому картины этих мастеров взывают к созерцанию в удовольствие. Однако уже с их приходом меняется сама парадигма искусства, и новые техники провоцируют публику на высказывания вроде: «Мой ребёнок тоже так сможет» — именно этим пеняют современному искусству. Вы научитесь сопоставлять творчество разных эпох и понимать разницу художественных мировоззрений, поймёте, что такое «интеллектуальный вызов» в контексте искусства, и, возможно, чуть больше проникнетесь и contemporary art.
