Описание

Бывший когда-то языческой столицей эрзян, затерявшейся среди дремучих муромских лесов, при Иване Грозном Арзамас превратился в миссионерский центр Руси и сплошную выставку достижений церковной архитектуры. Путь укоренения веры был не так прост. Вы узнаете, как это происходило, увидите главные святыни города, многие из которых по праву считаются шедеврами православного зодчества, и познакомитесь поближе с городом с гордым именем Арзамас и жителями, оставившими след в его истории.

Что вас ожидает

От язычества к христианству
Я коротко расскажу о том, кто населял этот край до того, как он перестал быть языческим, и как «приняли» здесь христианство. В Арзамасе православная вера попала на благодатную почву, и город быстро оброс монастырями и храмами, причём какими! Реставраторы отмечают, что, по сравнению с архитектурой Арзамаса, даже многие московские церкви выглядят несколько провинциально. Мордовская «твердь» становится духовным и экономическим центром близлежащих земель за каких-нибудь сто лет, и Арзамас приобретает облик легендарного Китеж-града, обласканного купечеством и прочими горожанами, щедрыми на строительство приходских храмов в камне.

Шедевры русского зодчества
Вы посетите самые красивые действующие арзамасские храмы и монастыри. В тёплое время года окажетесь в Воскресенском соборе, который можно сравнить лишь с петербургскими храмами Стасова, где уникальная роспись и резьба иконостаса оставят неизгладимое впечатление. В церкви Живоносного источника услышите про главную арзамасскую святыню — Крест Господень, который сюда переносят зимой. Побываете в мужском Спасском, женском Никольском монастырях с чудотворными иконами и увидите подворье некогда самого крупного приходского храмового комплекса дореволюционного Арзамаса — Серафимо-Дивеевского монастыря.

И ведь не только благолепием храмов да монастырей славен Арзамас! У памятника патриарху Сергию Страгородскому я расскажу о том, как он оказался главой Русской Православной Церкви в сложнейший для неё период. И мы обязательно поговорим об арзамасцах, оставивших яркий след в истории Арзамаса и заботившихся о его украшении: купцах-ктиторах, мастерах-умельцах, живописцах, архитекторах и простых горожанах, жертвовавших посильную копейку на строительство храмов и благотворительность.

Отличным дополнением к экскурсии станет посещение единственного в России музея Русского Патриаршества, расположенного на Соборной площади Арзамаса (до или после нашей экскурсии).

Хорошая экскурсия! Узнали много нового! Например, к своему стыду не знала, кто такой Александр Васильевич Ступин.. Хотя его учеников конечно знала. Интересные рассказ, о знаменитых жителях Арзамаса, так любящих свой город и много сделавших для него)

Большое спасибо Алексею за интересную экскурсию. Город красивый. Затронули темы православия и писателя Аркадия Гайдара. Также получили знания про художника Ступина: основателя художественной школы. Посмотрели памятники архитектуры, погуляли по центру и прилегающим улочкам.
