Описание

Осмелюсь показать вам одно из самых необычных мест в Палермо — погребальные катакомбы под монастырём капуцинов. Атмосферу подземелий передать невозможно: свой отпечаток накладывают полумрак, гулкое эхо и жутковатые силуэты бальзамированных тел. Здесь похоронены «напоказ» люди разных эпох и профессий, многие из них сами выбрали себе место в могиле-нише. Приглашаю вас удивиться погребальным традициям прошлого и ощутить волны мурашек по телу!

Что вас ожидает

Кладбище для элиты
Спустившись в подземелья, вы очутитесь в коридорах, вырытых ещё в XVI веке. Здесь находятся около 8 тысяч мумий — бальзамированных тел. Захоронение в катакомбах капуцинов считалось престижным и обходилось недёшево, такую посмертную роскошь могли себе позволить немногие: представители духовенства, вельможи, люди искусства и других уважаемых профессий. Я расскажу, как организовано пространство подземелий и система коридоров, как менялись методы сохранения тел от века к веку А ещё вы узнаете, какие посмертные указания давали знатные люди смотрителям катакомб.

Экспонаты музея мёртвых
Каждый коридор музея мёртвых — это полноценная экспозиция. Расположенные в соседних нишах тела представляют собой отдельные композиции, часто — в соответветствии с желанием и замыслом самих покойных. Вы рассмотрите самые интересные захоронения и услышите истории главных «знаменитостей»: представителей аристократии, братьев-капуцинов и двухлетней девочки Розалии, тело которой осталось совершенно нетленным.

Посещение катакомб не рекомендуется маленьким детям и очень впечатлительным людям.

Мы были в Катакомбах Капуцинов в последний день нашего пребывания в Палермо, и эта экскурсия стала "вишенкой на торте" наших впечатлений об этом городе. Я выбирала эту экскурсию не особо интересуясь историей места, куда мы отправляемся. Просто мне показалось, что это будет интересно моему сыну-подростку, и не ошиблась. Вообще, катакомбы - место немного жутковатое, одновременно очень интересное, и конечно, совершенно уникальное. Катерина ведёт свой рассказ легко, в то же время очень подробно и увлекательно. Сын очень внимательно слушал, а уж обо мне и говорить не приходится. Потом еще много обсуждали увиденное и обязательно расскажем всем друзьям о таком необычном месте. Спасибо Катерине за такую замечательную экскурсию, всем рекомендуем!

На экскурсии была с детьми, 10, 12 и 14 лет, которые не знают русский язык. Переводила для них. Задавали детские вопросы на которые получали понятные ответы. Потом нас отвезли в порт. По дороге узнали о Палермо всё, что успели спросить. Понравилось. Рекомендую.
