Исторический центр Кутаиси и храм Баграта
Кутаиси — главный город Имеретии, старинный центр грузинской государственности и
столица древней Колхиды, насчитывающей более 4000 лет. Вы погуляете по улочкам Старого города и кинете монетку в Колхидский фонтан. Далее посетите храм Баграта, который можно увидеть из любой точки Кутаиси. Возведенный на Архиерейской горе на рубеже X-XI веков, он впечатлит вас величием, изящной резьбой и мозаиками. Я расскажу, при каком правителе был построен храм, кто был здесь коронован и почему он сыграл исключительную роль в средневековой истории Грузии.

Монастыри Гелати и Моцамета
Мы отправимся в монастырский комплекс Гелати, расположенный на вершине горы.
Основанный святым царем Давидом IV Строителем в 1006 году, он стал усыпальницей грузинских царей и культовым местом для паломников. Следом вы посетите монастырь Моцамета IX века, где покоятся останки защитников Имеретии от арабского вторжения князей Мхеидзе. Вас впечатлит живописное место, в котором он расположен, — на высоком мысе, в ущелье реки Цхалцитела. Монастырь включает купольную Благовещенскую церковь, колокольню, две башни и монашеские кельи.

Пещера Прометея и заповедник Сатаплия
Наша следующая цель — пещера Прометея на северо-западе от Кутаиси. Вы исследуете живописные гроты, поплаваете на лодке по настоящей подземной речке и увидите захватывающие дух сталактиты, сталагмиты, водопады и даже целое озеро. Общение с удивительной природой продолжится в заповеднике Сатаплия, название котрого переводится как «место, где есть мед». В древние времена здесь действительно было пристанище диких пчел — сегодня вас ждут реликтовые колхидские леса, сохранившиеся следы динозавров и стеклянный балкон смотровой площадки, откуда открывается великолепная панорама Кутаиси и окружающей его природы.

Имеретинская кухня
Дорога Имеретии очень живописна. Вы заедете в музей вина, попробуете 2 сорта вина и ознакомитесь с 8000-летней историей виноделия. Экскурсия завершится ужином в ресторане с национальным колоритом, где вы почувствуете все великолепие местной кухни.

Интересная экскурсия с интересным рассказчиком. Давид все показал, никуда не торопясь мы посмотрели все, что хотели. Задерживались там, где было интересно. Многое обсуждали, получали ответы на наши вопросы. Экскурсию и гида рекомендую.

Для тех кто приезжает в Кутаиси, рекомендуем отправиться в однодневный тур с частным гидом Давидом. Он интересный и приятный рассказчик, много знает о своем родном крае и места показаные им не оставят никого равнодушным. Очень жаль, что мы не попали на посещение в монастырь Гелати. Тут нет вины гида, просто монастырь закрыт на реконструкцию, как мы узнали позже из информации в интеренете. Единственное, что, наверное, было бы здорово, если бы Давид об этом упомянул заранее.
