Вы познакомитесь с историей, традициями, архитектурой и культурой самого большого города страны. Посетите старинную мечеть и буддистский храм, насладитесь природой живописного парка в английском стиле и погуляете по главной городской набережной.

Коломбо вчера и сегодня
Вы увидите все знаковые достопримечательности города: Национальный музей, публичную библиотеку, университет и муниципалитет. Также в программе экскурсии:
- Храм Гангарама — самый важный буддистский храм города, основанный в 1841 году. Мы расскажем, при каких обстоятельствах он стал не только священным местом, но и центром обучения монахов в области истории и религии Востока. Сегодня вы увидите здесь целый комплекс, включающий культовые и жилые помещения, библиотеку и учебные классы.
- Мечеть Джами Уль Альфар — одна из старейших мечетей Коломбо. Ее строительство инициировала в начале XX века местная индийская мусульманская община. Мы поясним, каким образом в дизайне мечети сочетаются элементы индийской, индо-исламской архитектуры, а также неоготики и неоклассического стиля.
- Парк Вихарамахадеви — вы посетите классический английский парковый комплекс, возвышающийся среди яркого и колоритного азиатского Коломбо. Погуляете по благоустроенным тенистым аллеям, увидите исполинскую позолоченную статую Будды, резные беседки, орхидеи, тропические деревья и озеро.
- Набережная Галле Фейс — вы погуляете по центральному городскому променаду, основанному в середине XIX века, и увидите старейший одноименный отель. Именно здесь останавливались все важные персоны, когда-либо посещавшие остров. Например, в 1961 году гостем отеля стал Юрий Гагарин.

Все прошло отлично. Посмотрели основные достопримечательности Коломбо, гид Родни (могу ошибиться в написании) рассказал об исторических и экономических событиях страны, как раз то, что нужно в первый день знакомства со страной. Отдельное спасибо водителю Индражит за обходительность и учтивость.

В целом составили впечатление о городе. Не так много точек. Гид был очень обходительным, но для нас были сложности с пониманием из-за акцента.

Экскурсия понравилась: Иветта постаралась сложные для понимания темы сделать доступнее, очень информативно получилось. Порекомендую непременно!!!
