Описание
Еврейская община Родоса зародилась в античное время и за свою историю пережила немало перипетий. В компании с лицензионным гидом-археологом вы исследуете Старый город, увидите культовые реликвии и узнаете о непростой судьбе иудейского народа. А я помогу разобраться в местной культуре и традициях.
«Мне никогда не доводилось встречать еврейскую общину, в которой все, от мала до велика были столь разумны… у них длинные волосы и выглядят они как принцы», — писал итальянский раввин-путешественник, посетивший Родос в 1467 году.
Что вас ожидает
Маленький Иерусалим
Мы пройдемся улицами бывшего еврейского квартала «La Juderia» и познакомимся с летописью известных семей и простого населения. Аллея банкира и мецената Альхадеф, школа господина Нотрика и гимназия, основанная бароном Ротшильдом — лишь часть значимых мест этого района. Я проведу вас в синагогу XVII века, где сегодня находится музей, повествующий об укладе евреев Родоса и влиянии на них местной культуры. Богатая экспозиция музейных коллекций перенесет нас в прошлое общины, а я расскажу об истоках ее образования, повседневной жизни, праздниках и обрядах, а также особенном языке, на котором говорили местные романиоты и сефарды.
Политика памяти
Неподалеку, под сенью пышных фикусов, раскинулась центральная площадь еврейских мучеников. Мы поговорим о военном времени и налетах союзной авиации антигитлеровской коалиции, а также увидим мемориал жертвам холокоста в память о более чем 1600 евреях Родоса, высланных в Освенцим, об исчезновении диаспоры и попытках ее возрождения. Завершая прогулку в рыцарской части города, мы вспомним о взаимоотношениях еврейской общины и католической церкви Средневековья, а также осмотрим постройку эпохи госпитальеров.

К сожалению наша экскурсия не состоялась из за опоздания круизиника на котором мы прибыли на Родос. Хочу отметить, что экскурсовод связалась с нами и ждала нас в назначенном месте длительное время. Она уехала не држдавшись нас, но была готова вернуться и все таки провести экскурсию, но было уже действительно поздно и мы решили отказаться. Спасибо.
