Описание

В 60 км от Риги, недалеко от Сигулды, на холмистых берегах реки Гауи расположился живописный уголок Латвии. Средневековые замки придают ему особое очарование. Рижане обожают эти места. Приглашаю и вас посетить их. Мы прогуляемся по улочкам Сигулды, её окрестностям и Турайдскому музею-заповеднику. Дополню поездку глубоким погружением в историю края и страны в целом.

Путевые заметки с историческим контекстом
По дороге я расскажу об основных вехах развития Сигулды и Турайды и о том, почему именно здесь нагляднее всего предстаёт история территории, впоследствии ставшей независимой Латвией.

Средневековая Сигулда и её тайны
Мы окунёмся в атмосферу старого города. Выпьем по чашечке кофе с вкуснейшими сигулдскими эклерами, осмотрим реконструированную территорию замка Зегевольд. Вы узнаете о вековой вражде бывших союзников — рижского архиепископа и Ливонского ордена — и поймёте, почему в окрестностях города построили целых три замка.

Ромео и Джульетта в латышской версии
По желанию переправимся на другой берег Гауи в вагончике канатной дороги. Это более километра пути и потрясающие виды из окна в любое время года. Я поделюсь легендой о Турайдской розе — подлинной историей верности, коварства и любви. Героев этого сюжета, Виктора и Майю, иногда называют латвийскими Ромео и Джульеттой.

Турайдский музей-заповедник
Посетим средневековый замок, его главную башню, темницу и покои архиепископа. Побываем в «Саду песен» и на горе Дайн, где в природный ландшафт вписаны десятки величественных гранитных скульптур, посвященных дайнам — латышским народным песням. Расскажу, откуда взялись латыши, во что верили местные ливы и что для них значил «конь судьбы».

Древние технологии в наши дни
Вы узнаете, как и зачем в 21 веке в Латвии заново учатся строить … по технологиям 18 века. Увидите очень своеобразную детскую площадку — экспозицию, основанную на цифровых достижениях и рассказывающую о столетии до провозглашения независимости Латвии в 1918 году. Сегодня это предмет особой гордости музея.
