Описание
В 18 веке Тверь стала единственным европейским провинциальным городом, вторым городом России после северной столицы и четвертым в мире, построенным по лучевой системе после Рима, Версаля и Петербурга. О специфике тверского облика, исторических предпосылках, знаковых архитекторах и старинных памятниках мы подробно поговорим на прогулке по центру.
Что вас ожидает
История тверской застройки
Вы услышите о пожаре 1763 года, уничтожившем Тверской кремль и всю центральную часть города, и о реконструкции Твери под руководством архитектора Никитина. Узнаете о временах, когда вся Россия «рубилась», а Тверь строилась в камне, повторяя европейскую лучевую систему улиц и застройку «сплошной фасадой». Я расскажу, что значило для города быть не просто западным, но и воротами из русской Москвы в европейский Санкт-Петербург.
Почтовая площадь
С нынешней площади Святого Благоверного князя Михаила Тверского началась застройка и отсюда брало начало лучевое расположение улиц. Я расскажу о бывшем здании почты, где останавливались путешественники, следующие из одной столицы в другую. Покажу подарок городу — памятник небесному покровителю Твери. А на бывшей Миллионной улице (сейчас Советской) поговорим о центральном луче, рассекшим город в 18 веке до конца.
Восьмиугольная площадь
У нее было несколько названий: Екатерининская, Фонтанная, Судебная, ныне это пл. Ленина. Вы узнаете, почему сам автор именовал ее Восьмиугольной, разглядите черты градостроительного искусства раннего классицизма и узнаете о назначении площади.
Театральная площадь
Здесь вы встретите культурные центры Твери: Драматический театр и филармонию. Увидите один из двух памятников Пушкину, установленных в городе. А на окраине площади я познакомлю вас со зданием Дворянского собрания архитектора Львова.
Соборная площадь
В центре вы осмотрите Спасо-Преображенский собор 13 века — главный духовный центр Тверской области. И, конечно, узнаете о жемчужине площади — Императорском путевом дворце, над ансамблем которого работали выдающиеся архитекторы Казаков и Росси. Во дворце находится картинная галерея, которую вы потом сможете посетить самостоятельно.

Светлана - прекрасный рассказчик, подает информацию просто и живо, удерживает внимание вопросами. Погода была морозной. Почувствовав, что мы начали замерзать, Светлана предложила ненадолго зайти в кондитерскую, чтобы согреться. Экскурсия получилась информативной и запоминающейся. Думаю, что наш маршрут и рассказ даже вышел за рамки программы, т.к. Светлана согласилась показать нам дорогу до ресторана, где у нас был забронирован столик, попутно рассказывала нам о достопримечательностях. Захотелость приехать в Тверь еще раз!
