Описание

Коптский квартал — старейший район Каира. На его месте еще до прихода мусульман находился Египетский Вавилон. Вы пройдете по следам Святого семейства, осмотрите руины древней крепости, посетите чудесные церкви и познакомитесь с самой большой в мире коллекцией коптского искусства. Мы расскажем историю этих мест и поможем вам раскрыть город по-новому.

Что вас ожидает

Тайны древних церквей
Гуляя по извилистым улочкам Коптского квартала, мы увидим руины крепости Вавилон, синагогу Бен-Эзры и восемь христианских церквей. Каждая из них интересна по-своему. Вы спуститесь в грот с колодцем в храме Абу Серга и впечатлитесь изображением Христа под высоким куполом в церкви Святого Георгия. В церкви Святой Варвары прикоснетесь к мощам мученицы, а в Висячей церкви рассмотрите в деталях старинный иконостас и иконы.

Коптский музей
После осмотра религиозных святынь мы отправимся в Коптский музей, где хранятся древние иконы, фрески, мозаики и книги. И это далеко не всё! В музее 14 залов, полноценно раскрывающих развитие коптского искусства на протяжении столетий. Вы узнаете о местных ремеслах и увидите изделия из дерева, керамику, стекло, текстиль и коллекцию ламп. А также полюбуетесь мраморными колоннами, мозаиками и фонтанами, привезенными из принадлежащих коптской общине особняков.

Отличная экскурсия: все четко организовано, все своевременно (чередуются прогулки, осмотр достопримечательностей и обед), что очень круто для Каира с его пробками

Индивидуальную экскурсию проводила на русском языке египтянка гид Хенд. 30 января в 9.30 меня забрали из отеля на микроавтобусе. Транспорт был организован отлично. Хенд старательно проводила пешеходную экскурсию по Коптскому району Каира. Мы посмотрели различные церкви и Коптский музей. Экскурсия закончилась в 12.00. Я думаю, что стоимость 200 евро за 2-х часовую экскурсию в одном районе без дополнительных переездов, это все-таки очень дорого!
