Описание
Для человека, впервые прибывшего в Ригу, прогулка по старому городу неизбежна. Туда непременно заманят высокие башенки церквей, увенчанные золотыми петушками, которые как ориентир видны почти во всех районах города. Старая Рига — это не только центр города со всеми соблазнами столичной жизни, но и точка отсчёта в истории, с неё мы и начнём нашу прогулку.

Основание Риги и рассказы о крестоносцах
Летом 1201-го года от РХ в песчаный берег реки Рига упёрлось носом немецкое судно, на котором прибыл католический епископ Альберт Буксгевден. Он и заложил город, названный как и река, на берегу которой его начали строить, — Рига. Какая река Рига, скажете вы? Ведь город Рига, вернее, старая его часть, лежит на правом берегу реки Даугавы (Западной Двины). Действительно, реки Рига больше нет... Вот во время экскурсии вы и узнаете, куда же подевалась река, куда причаливал отец-основатель города. Пройдёте по её руслу. Послушаете рассказ об улочках города, как и почему они названы, какие функции выполняли. Посмотрим на самое старое каменное здание города — церковь святого Георгия, единственное, что осталось от первого замка рыцарей — крестоносцев. Вы узнаете о том, как жили рыцари, огнём и мечом обращавшие местное население в христианство.
Замки, легенды и военные страницы истории
Посмотрим мы и на последний замок рыцарей ливонского ордена, который ныне занимает президент Латвийской Республики. Ну а где замки, там и легенды о сокровищах и, конечно же, приведениях. Впрочем легенды на пустом месте не берутся, ведь до президента хозяевами замка были польские, шведские и русские генерал-губернаторы, имена многих из которых ещё при жизни стали легендами! Увидим мы также и останки крепостных стен с башнями. Рига до 1857 года имела статус города-крепости, и ещё какой крепости! Тем более, что причин тому было при достаточно! Войны. Кто с кем и почему? Немцы, поляки, шведы, русские осаждали или стойко переносили осаду в городе не один раз, ну и не без участия простых горожан, конечно же.
Чем раньше жили рижане
Вы увидите, в каких домах жили рижане, как эти дома строились и в каких архитектурных стилях, а также чем занимались горожане. И об этом мы подробно поговорим у зданий Большой (торговой) гильдии и Малой (ремесленной) гильдии. Какие ремёсла в городе были почитаемы, а какие не очень. Как развивалась торговля. Где и как хранили товары и что себе позволяли разбогатевшие купцы. Конечно же, не пройдём мы и Ратушную площадь. Узнаем, как она возникла. Какие функции исполнял рижский рат. Как наказывали преступников в средние века и какие девушки, размахивая мётлами по утрам, радовали взгляд рижан. Непременно мы с вами заглянем и на улочку, более известную как Блюменштрассе или как Бейкерстрит.

Экскурсия по старому городу Риги с Романом — это настоящее путешествие во времени! 🌟 Роман родился в самом сердце города, и это чувствуется в каждом его слове. Он не просто рассказывает факты — он передаёт любовь к Риге так, что начинаешь смотреть на город его глазами. Каждая улица оживает, за каждым домом — история, а в его рассказах чувствуется глубокое знание и искренняя увлечённость. Благодаря Роману мы узнали массу интересных исторических деталей, услышали легенды и открыли для себя уголки, которые обычно остаются незамеченными. Было легко, весело и невероятно познавательно. Спасибо, Роман, за тёплую атмосферу, живой рассказ и за то, что вы показали нам Ригу с душой ❤️ Настоятельно рекомендую экскурсию с ним всем, кто хочет по-настоящему почувствовать город!

Экскурсовода выбирала по отзывам, искала историческо-познавательную обзорную экскурсию по Риге и... не ошиблась. Роман - очень начинанный, умный, интересный, рассказчик, знающий свой город и каждый камешек в этом городе! Он отлично преподносит сухие исторические факты в виде живой картинки в воображении, так что информация легко запоминается, а потом в свое время во время экскурсии вплетается в канву рассказа. Я получила огромное удовольствие! Экскурсия получилась дольше 2.5 часов, но она того стОила! Ливонский орден, российская империя, бесконечные войны за власть, почему Рига - лютеранская, легенды и истории, детали про церкви, которые нельзя прочитать в книжках... Очень рекомендую тем, кто интересуется историей этой страны, и как архитектура, постройки и памятники связаны с историческими событиями. С Романом Рига открывается с другой стороны и она заслуживает вашего внимания!
