Описание

Каргополь — один из древнейших торговых городов Русского Севера. Он запомнится вам белокаменными ансамблями Старой Торговой и Соборной площадей, идиллическими панорамами Онеги и купеческими домами. Я расскажу, как Каргополь создавался и развивался, какими традициями он славится и какие известные люди здесь жили.

Что вас ожидает

Главные площади и храмы города
Вы полюбуетесь великолепным архитектурным ансамблем Соборной площади, основу которого составляют старинные храмы. Я покажу вам Христорождественский собор, Введенскую церковь, колокольню и церковь Иоанна Предтечи. Раскрою, при каких обстоятельствах они были построены и какие события с ними связаны. Кроме того, мы посетим Старую Торговую площадь, где вы сможете осмотреть изнутри церковь Рождества Богородицы с иконостасом XVIII века.

Каргополь в лицах
По периметру площадей расположены интересные объекты гражданской архитектуры. Их мы тоже не оставим без внимания! Вы увидите Гостиные дворы, торговую лавку купца А. П. Лёхова и особняк А. А. Вишнякова, где останавливался Александр I. Я поделюсь занимательными фактами о владельцах этих зданий и других жителях, оставивших след в истории города. Например, вы услышите об Александре Баранове — правителе русских поселений в Северной Америке.
