Описание
Милан славился своими водными каналами! Именно благодаря им он получил статус одного из самых крупных портов Европы. Сегодня каналы оживают лишь в вечернее время и являются центром ночной жизни Милана. Приглашаю прогуляться по ним и так узнать об истории города.
Что вас ожидает
Начнем мы с изучения старинных базилик, которые находятся недалеко от воды. Мы поговорим о самом раннем периоде истории Милана, когда город был столицей Западной Римской империи – почти 150 лет. Именно здесь в 313 году император Константин подписал указ о разрешении христианской религии, и началась стройка ранне-христианских церквей – именно их-то мы и посмотрим.
В то же время древние римляне, обладающие на тот момент самыми прогрессивными знаниями о гидравлике, начали поистине исполинский труд по подведению вод близлежащих рек в самый центр города. Работа была закончена лишь много веков спустя.
В Средние века Милан уже приобретает статус одного из самых важных европейских портов (наряду с Амстердамом и Венецией), но работа над каналами идёт вплоть до 1819 года. От Базилик мы плавно перейдём к каналам, посмотрим на первый в мире шлюз – изобретение местных гидравликов, поговорим о значимости сохранившихся каналов и, в конце концов, когда стемнеет и когда подсветка каналов заманчиво позовёт нас насладиться вечером, закончим свою прогулку в одном из баров, где можно будет за бокалом вина вкусить множество самых разнообразных закусок.
