Описание

Предлагаю прикоснуться к истории не только на словах, но и напрямую — встретив на улицах современного города дошедшие до нас приметы прошлой жизни: от знаков на кирпичах до декора. Они не бросаются в глаза, но могут значить больше, чем легенды о купцах или правителях. Вы научитесь искать такие мелочи, проследите путь Нижнего, а ваши отношения с ним станут более личными.

История, которую можно потрогать
Моя экскурсия посвящена городским деталям и культурным артефактам, которые говорят с нами о бытовой стороне истории. Вы не услышите о правителях и войнах — но узнаете, как люди жили здесь раньше, со своими проблемами и решениями. Мы будем искать нивелирные марки, колесоотбойные столбики, разнообразные знаки на кирпичах, столетние крышки колодцев, кованые решётки и занятный архитектурный декор. Последнему я уделю внимание как искусствовед и научу вас узнавать приметы архитектурных стилей.

Главные улицы и нетуристические тропы
Начнём прогулку возле кремля, на главной площади Минина и Пожарского, а закончим с другой стороны от нижегородской крепости. Мы сделаем кольцо, пересекая три исторических района и заглядывая во дворы. Пройдём по пешеходной Большой Покровской улице, которая всегда обладала столичным духом. В Започаинье, где сохранились старейшие дома Нижнего, вы ощутите душу города, увидите его контрастность и полюбуетесь видами со смотровых. А на Рождественской улице перенесёмся в деловой центр прошлого.
