Описание
Древние греки были уверены, что в жерле Этны находится кузнеца бога ремесел Гефеста, поэтому прозвали вулкан Аитна — огнедышащая гора. На автомобиле мы с вами поднимемся на высоту 1900 м, где можно увидеть потухший кратер Сильвестр. Вам откроется потрясающая панорама восточного побережья Сицилии и Калабрии.
Этна — самый большой действующий вулкан Европы. Его высота составляет 3450 метров над уровнем моря, площадь — 1250 кв. км. В результате боковых извержений у Этны образовалось более 400 кратеров. В среднем раз в три месяца вулкан извергает лаву.
Что вас ожидает
Если после подъема к кратеру Сильвестру, впечатлений вам будет недостаточно, на этом этапе нашей поездки вы можете продолжить экскурсию : за €95 по канатной дороге вас поднимут на высоту 2750 метров над уровнем моря к действующим кратерам. Обязательно, возьмите с собой теплую одежду: на вершине вулкана всегда ветрено и прохладно, температура опускается на 10–15 градусов! Одежду также можно взять напрокат за €1-2. Далее садитесь в джип и через 15 минут — вы практически на вершине Этны. Мы подойдём к полудействующему кратеру, который теперь извергает вместо лавы пары воздуха и немного газа, покажет, где были последние извержения.
Посещение вулкана Этна мы можем совместить с одним из интересных вам направлений:
- прогулка по городу Таормина. Это один из самых известных сицилийских курортов, расположенный на склоне горы Тауро, откуда открываться потрясающий вид на Этну;
- осмотр виллы Дель-Казале. Всемирно известная древнеримская вилла, построенная в IV в. до н.р., сегодня входит в список ЮНЕСКО. Здесь вы увидите 3,5 тысячи кв. м хорошо сохранившихся мозаик времен Римской Империи;
- шоппинг в аутлете «Сицилийская деревня». Здесь представлены все основные итальянские бренды: Armani, Dolce&Gabbana, Versace, Gucci, Trussardi и другие.
Организационные детали
- Для проведения экскурсии необходим ваш (или арендованный) автомобиль. Встретиться мы можем в городе, где вы остановились на Сицилии, или по дороге на вулкан Этна.
- Экскурсия возможна только для западной Сицилии
- После посещения вулкана за дополнительную плату (€70), возможно посещение города Таормина или вилла дель Казале

Наш день с Инной был похож на сицилийский праздник: шумный, тёплый и полный удивительных историй. Инна словно волшебница — с лёгкостью погружала нас в мир древних легенд, традиций и тех самых семейных секретов, которыми на Сицилии гордятся так же сильно, как своими мамами (а это, поверьте, высшая форма любви!). Мы смеялись, удивлялись, ловили солнечные лучи — и, кажется, в какой-то момент сами стали немножко сицилийцами: влюблёнными в жизнь, в остров и, конечно, в мамины рецепты! Инна, спасибо вам за этот день — за тепло, знания, полезные советы по Палермо и ту особую атмосферу, которую могут создать только люди, искренне любящие эту землю и уважающие её традиции.

Инна замечательный экскурсовод, кладезь знаний, фактов, истории, особая изюминка мифы/легенды/придания! Прекрасный рассказчик и собеседник! Не давала скучать и всегда на позитиве! К Инне можно было обратиться с разнообразными вопросами и она поможет, будь то организовать ресторан на вечер или помочь выбрать отель/ побережье для дальнейшей остановки . Посоветует, что посетить ,и на что обратить особое внимание! Это было чудесно , что нам на Сицилии, попалась такой замечательный человек! Она вдыхал в нас дух каждой достопримечательности ,которую мы встречали на пути ! Если мы сюда вернёмся, то обязательно обратимся к ней!

Отличная поездка! На вулкан куда планировалось попасть не удалось из-за очень сильного ураганного ветра и гололеда, но до первого кратера добрались. На ногах устоять было невозможно, лавовый песок и камни летели в лицо как на Марсе во время песчаной бури! Потом дорогу вообще перекрыли и пришлось вернуться. Зато дополнительно посетили пещерку образованную лавовой рекой с мини-сталактитами образованными лавой стекающей с потолка. Затем отправились отогреваться в Таормину! Отличный обед, незабываемый красивый городок Таормина, прекрасные виды, интереснейший рассказ о сицилийской мафии. Огромное спасибо гиду Инне, все очень понравилось!

Около года назад побывали на Этне. Несмотря на не самую классную погоду получили море впечатлений и новой информации. По пути к вулкану узнали про историю острова в целом, из окна машины увидели несколько значимых точек интереса. Действительно колоссальный и концентрированный рассказ, который, тем не менее окажется полезным на обратном пути. К сожалению, жена не смогла подниматься к кратерам, но благодаря Инне, которая продолжила для нее экскурсию у начала канатки, я смог подняться над облаками на вулкан, где отлично провел время, а жена тоже не скучала, узнала много нового и отлично провела время. Мы очень это ценим. На обратном пути удалось послушать истории, относящиеся больше к местному менталитету (для понимания этого пригодились недавно полученная информация об истории острова), узнали немного о мафии, ее следе в кинематографе. Эрудированный гид, грамотная речь, широкий кругозор, харизма. Спасибо Инне за то, что поделилась с нами этим :)
