Великолепный георгианский особняк с живописным парком также известен коллекцией картин выдающихся художников, например Рембрандта, Вермеера, Хальса. Вы осмотрите комнаты и шедевры живописи, а я расскажу, как здесь жили внуки Николая I и Александра Пушкина, реформатор английского права и глава бренда «Гиннесс».

Что вас ожидает

В 1928 году поместье стало общественным художественным музеем. С тех пор оригинальные интерьеры и потрясающая коллекция произведений искусства мирового уровня доступны бесплатно для всех желающих.

Я проведу вас по резиденции и расскажу, как это место связано с судьёй и реформатором Уильямом Мюрреем и отменой рабства в Британской империи. Как здесь жили князь Михаил Михайлович, внук Николая I, и графиня де Торби, внучка Пушкина. И с какой просьбой последний владелец усадьбы Эдвард Сесил Гиннесс завещал Кенвуд народу Великобритании.

Вы разберётесь, что за персонажи изображены на картинах, и узнаете, какими были авторы и владельцы этих коллекций. Погрузитесь в атмосферу светской жизни 18–19 веков с балами, пышными приёмами и визитами британских монархов. А в конце экскурсии прогуляетесь по живописному саду и, если захотите, выпьете чай в уютном кафе.
