Подняться на гору Синай и посетить монастырь Святой Екатерины — главные причины отправиться по священным местам Египта, находящимся в списке объектов Всемирного наследия ЮНЕСКО. Чем прославилась обитель и какую роль сыграла она в жизни христиан? Что такое Неопалимая купина и почему ради неё сюда съезжаются туристы? Об этом и многом другом — на нашей экскурсии!

Что вас ожидает

Гора Синай
Согласно библейским текстам, именно здесь Бог явился Моисею и передал ему 10 заповедей. К вершине ведут две тропы: пологая, туристическая и более сложная — её выбирают верующие. Наше восхождение пройдёт по«верблюжьей» тропе, более пологой, но длинной. Сопровождать группу будет местный житель — бедуин-проводник.

Вдоль всего трёхчасового маршрута вам встретятся скамейки для отдыха, палатки со сладостями и напитками, уборные комнаты. Большую часть пути можно проехать на верблюде за дополнительную плату ($15). А последние 750 ступеней «монашеской лестницы» все преодолевают пешком. Встретив рассвет на вершине, вы сможете зайти в пещеру, в которой согласно Библии 40 дней и ночей укрывался Моисей.

История христианства
Ваше путешествие по святым местам Синая продолжится визитом в монастырь Святой Екатерины, который находится у подножия горы Моисея. Вы узнаете историю монастыря: от монашеской общины, образовавшейся вокруг Неопалимой купины, до неприступной крепости, никогда не подвергавшейся разрушению. На территории монастыря вы увидите колодец Моисея и куст Неопалимой купины, а при желании поставите свечи в базилике Преображения.

В целом поездка понравилась. Мы ранее поднимались на вулкан в другой стране, поэтому решились на этот подъем. Сложновато, да, идёшь по дороге нормально, но самые последние силы нужно оставить на подъем по 750 ступеням. Обратно, когда спускаешься, могут болеть ноги и трястись. В приципе, если идти в своём темпе, то можно и не сильно спешить. Нас гид поторапливал, чтобы мы места удобные заняли для рассвета,а так можно и не спешить. Мы поднимались в начале марта, было очень холодно, поэтому нужно одеваться теплее, замёрзли в кроссовках, брали одеяла за 4 доллара наверху,поэтому одевайтесь слоями и как можно теплее. Подниматься жарковато, а вот наверху люто холодно. Очень раздражали бедуины с верблюдами. Дорога небольшая и так не разойтись, а тут со всех сторон верблюды идут, и ты поднимаешься. И бедуины навязчиво предлагают верблюда, поэтому настояюйчиво говорите "нет", если вам не нужна эта услуга.

Незабываемые впечатления и гордость, что смогла пройти весь путь!) Одна из немногих экскурсий, куда необходимо морально и информационно быть готовым. Действительно, восхождение для многих будет не «легкой прогулкой». Но оно того стоит!!! Совет путешественникам: берите с собой свой фонарик, обувь должна быть удобной и не скользкой, головной убор, куртку либо кофту, а родной пледик - сделает встречу рассвета более незабываемый, спасибо организатору Наталье, запасная футболка была очень кстати. Да, ещё гигиеничка!!! И оставшую часть отпуска вы не проведёте с обветренными губами) P.S. сувениры лучше покупать по завершении экскурсии в монастыре святой Екатерины.
