Большой грязный порт? Вовсе нет! Я покажу город со сложным, но потрясающим характером. Город, где не бывает скучно и где собрана культура и быт всего Средиземноморья, большей части Африки, Центральной и Южной Америки, Французской Полинезии. Вы откроете многоликую историю Марселя и увидите, как она повлияла на его черты и на местных жителей — от блюд и сервировки стола до отношения друг к другу и философии жизни.

Старейший город Франции: от деревушки до современного Вавилона
Перед вами предстанет 2600-летний город беженцев, переплетения культур, языков, традиций и крупнейший порт Средиземного моря. Мы поговорим о дружбе и торговле между Марселем и Римом с 6 по 1 век до н. э. Затронем период забвения, который длился почти 9 столетий, и оккупацию сарацинами. А также вспомним о новом взлёте, связанном с Крестовыми походами и колониальной политикой Франции.

В нашей программе:

Набережная у паромного причала. Возле скульптуры Брюно Каталано «Вояжёр», или «Эмигрант» вы узнаете историю его семьи — типичную для большинства марсельцев.

Кафедральный собор Сан-Мари-Мажор. Осмотрим крупнейший католический храм Франции за всю её историю. В облике собора — архитектура всего Средиземноморья: от Византии и Рима до Алжира и Марокко.

Квартал Ле Панье («Корзина»). Посетим старейший жилой квартал Марселя с узкими улочками и домами 16–19 веков, где живут и имеют свои мастерские художники, скульпторы, гончары и представители других творческих профессий. Здесь больше всего ощущается дух города.

Старый порт. Подъедем к бухте, где 2600 лет назад возникло поселение Массалия, выросшее до второго по величине города Франции и крупнейшего порта Средиземноморья. Вы увидите форты Сан-Жан и Сан-Николя, рыбный рынок, многочисленные яхты и парусники.

Базилика Нотр-Дам-де-ля-Гард. Покровительница и символ Марселя с удивительным прошлым. Храм построен на одном из самых высоких холмов города. С высоты 150 метров вам откроются панорамы Приморских Альп, акватории Средиземного моря и Фриульских островов с островом Иф и самым известным в мире замком.

Набережная. Место впечатляющих видов, истории, множества буланжерий с круассанами и кофе и ресторанчиков, где подают буйябес, рататуй и другие блюда прованской кухни.

Аббатство Сан-Виктор. Монастырь основан в 6 веке и представляет архитектуру Раннего Средневековья. Я расскажу о значении обители в христианском мире от Рима до Испании и её реликвиях. Здесь находится одно богатейших собраний саркофагов в стране.

Музей-магазин Савон-дю-Марсей. Вы познакомитесь с тысячелетней историей знаменитого марсельского мыла. Его рецептура не меняется с 1688 года! Поговорим о значении мыла для экономики и культуры города — ведь уже с 15 века Марсель поставлял его в половину стран Европы.

Дворец Лоншам и фонтан «Замок воды». Кроме того, вы увидите шедевр архитектора Эсперандье и услышите его невероятную историю.

Хочу выразить огромную благодарность туристическому гиду Сергею за незабываемую экскурсию по Марселю! Это была не просто прогулка по городу, а настоящее путешествие в историю, культуру и атмосферу Прованса. Мы посетили не только главные туристические достопримечательности, но и не самые популярные, скрытые от массового туриста места, которые действительно стоит увидеть. За время экскурсии мы узнали очень много нового и интересного, о чём не пишут в путеводителях. Сергей — душевный, внимательный и очень эрудированный гид, который с искренней любовью рассказывает о Марселе и Провансе. Чувствуется глубокое знание региона и настоящее увлечение своим делом. Экскурсия прошла легко, увлекательно и на одном дыхании. Однозначно рекомендую Сергея всем, кто хочет по-настоящему прочувствовать Марсель и Прованс!

Это одна из лучших экскурсий из моего богатого туристического опыта. Интересно, бережно, разнопланово и глубоко! Однозначно рекомендую Сергея как гида с широким кругозором и человеческим отношением.
