Антон Чехов называл Грузию «страной души», Ильф и Петров здесь находили героев «12 стульев», а Осип Мандельштам говорил, что Батуми — это «русская спекулятивная Калифорния». С чего бы это? Мы прогуляемся по улицам Старого Батуми, и я расскажу, каким он был в воспоминаниях очарованных странников: Константина Паустовского, Агаты Кристи, Михаила Булгакова...

Что вас ожидает

Батуми — город небольшой, тут многие знакомы друг с другом. Но здесь есть море. И это меняет всё. Потому что есть коренные жители, а есть —путешественники. И зачастую воспоминания последних ярче и подробнее описывают атмосферу и быт города, чем свидетельства старожилов. Знаменитых путешественников в Батуми всегда было много, и именно им будет посвящена наша прогулка.

Я ничего не ожидала от Батуми и была поражена, сколько судеб здесь вершилось, сколько тайн он хранит!
