Описание

Вы прогуляетесь по одному из самых удивительных участков улицы Шербрук, где расположились сразу несколько музеев, два университета и множество разнообразной городской скульптуры. Нужно только успевать смотреть по сторонам! Вы узнаете, почему этот квартал науки и искусства в конце 19 — начале 20 века прозвали «золотая квадратная миля» и что это означает сегодня.

Что вас ожидает

Центр искусства и неизведанные скульптуры
На площади Нормана Бетуна с небольшой статуей врачу вы услышите о канадце с английскими корнями, ставшем национальным героем Китая. Я расскажу много удивительного об этом человеке: как он боролся с туберкулёзом, сражался с фашистами в Испании и воевал в отрядах Мао Цзедуна. Задержимся у скульптуры «Ди-Окто», которая приводится в движение ветром. У Монреальского музея изобразительного искусства вы познакомитесь с его историей, архитектурой и новыми проектами. Также я обращу ваше внимание на жилой дом «Ле Шато», исторический комплекс «Алкан», знаменитую гостиницу «Ритц-Карлтон» — за каждым названием кроется интересная история.

Университеты англоязычного Монреаля
Вы увидите самый молодой из четырёх монреальских ВУЗов — университет Конкордия, известный своей бизнес школой имени Мольсона. Пройдёте по одной из красивейших пешеходных улиц Монреаля и посетите территорию университета МакГилл. Я расскажу о старейшем и известнейшем канадском университете, постоянно входящем в топ-рейтинги. Вы увидите несколько его знаменитых корпусов, как-то здания химического, инженерного и физического факультетов. В последнем проводил эксперименты по расщеплению атома Эрнест Резерфорд, получивший за эти исследования Нобелевскую премию. Через ворота Роддик покинем территорию университета и по бульвару МакГилл Коллеж пройдём к зданию Рихтер, где вы познакомитесь со скульптурой «Толпа озарённая солнцем» и астрономическим проектом «Мундус».

Формат проведения экскурсии

Как показал мой опыт в туризме, город познаётся только в пешеходной экскурсии, когда можно увидеть уникальные городские сценки, понаблюдать за его жителями в повседневной жизни, соприкоснуться с его духом, традициями. Именно поэтому я знакомлю путешественников с Монреалем в формате живой прогулки.

Экскурсия с Людмилой одна из лучших в наших поездках, хотя мы путешественники со стажем! Людмила организовала все так, чтобы мы не замёрзли, хотя в этот день дул ледяной ветер и было холодно, а уж про содержание и добрых слов говорить не хватит: на одном дыхании, безумно интересно, позитивно, легко о сложном и противоречивом, глубоко, но не скучно! Не было вопроса, на который Людмила не ответила Столько узнали о Канаде и Монреале того, что нигде бы не прочитали и не услышали... Очень советую от всей души
