Описание

Оказаться в Бхактапуре — значит увидеть древний гималайский город, который был столицей долины Катманду. Бхактапур сохранил не только самобытный облик, но и традиционный уклад жизни неварцев — коренной народности долины. Вы посетите ключевые места города и прочувствуете его удивительную атмосферу — кажется, она веками остаётся неизменной.

Что вас ожидает

Храм Вакупати 17 века, посвящённый богу Вишну. Помимо традиционного алтаря и статуи Гаруды, у храма есть одна особенность — считается, что небольшой отдых в нём помогает избавиться от боли в спине.

Прогулка по улочкам Бхактапура с их нескончаемыми буддийскими ступами, статуями божеств и алтарями изумительной работы, усыпанными цветами. Каждое из этих произведений искусства имеет долгую историю, а глубокий символизм раскрывает философское отношение местных к жизни и смерти.

Атмосфера древнего города. Кажется, что весь Бхактапур дышит благодатью и покоем, и работа здесь тоже течёт неспешно. Мы заглянем в аутентичные мастерские — в особенности те, где создают изделия из глины. По пути остановимся, чтобы отведать местный десерт джу-джу-доу.

Фабрика крафтовой бумаги — заглянем в неё, если в это время все работники не уйдут на очередной фестиваль, свадьбу или красочное шествие. Для неварцев традиции — это святое, а дела подождут: впереди вечность.

Дворцовая площадь Дурбар, где расположены 33 объекта поклонения. Они выполнены в разных архитектурных стилях и в разные исторические периоды, начиная с 13 века. Площадь целиком внесена в список объектов культурного наследия ЮНЕСКО.

Золотые ворота. Пройдя их, мы окажемся перед Дворцом 55 окон и полюбуемся тонкой резьбой по дереву, которой он украшен.

Площадь Таумади с самой высокой пагодой Непала — пятиэтажным храмом Ньятопола, каждый этаж которого соответствует одному из пяти элементов мироздания — земле, воде, огню, воздуху и пространству.
